The rest of the 2022 campaign could be in jeopardy because St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Steven Matz.
After leaving Saturday’s competition with the Cincinnati Reds with a leg injury, the Cardinals announced on Sunday that Matz has torn his left MCL.
Matz will meet the Cardinals surgeon in St. Louis on Monday to determine if surgery is needed.
