Car Of Karnataka BJP MLA Nephew Recovered From Canal, Rotting Body Inside
Davangere:
Police said a car of BJP MLA’s grandson, who has been missing since October 30, was removed with a decomposed body from the Tunga canal on Thursday.
Police suspect that the body may be that of Chandrashekhar (25 years old), who was returning from Shivamogga to Honnali but failed to return home.
Chandrashekhar is the grandson of MP Renukacharya, legislator Honnali BJP.
Chandrashekhar’s father, MP Ramesh, filed a disappearance complaint on Tuesday.
After a rigorous search, the district police tracked down the white sport utility vehicle (SUV) inside the Tunga canal at Kadadagatte in Davangere district on Thursday.
Police said that using a crane, the vehicle was pulled out and the body was found inside. The vehicle’s airbags were found to have deployed. Police have begun investigating the incident.
Interior Minister Araga Jnanendra said he was waiting for a report from Davangere police.
The minister said the department has no doubts but the truth must be revealed after investigation. “We will treat it as a special case and investigate it from all sides,” he said.
