Canelo sweats huge amounts of sweat from his sauna suit before GGG
Someone once said that sweat is the scent of success. Saul ‘Canelo’ Álvarez may have just proved it.
The Mexican boxer, whose undisputed super-middleweight title comes out this weekend, is poised to face his longtime rival, Gennady Golovkin, for the third and perhaps last time.
Tensions are expected to mount throughout the week as the boxers face each other for one final press conference and deliberation – fortunately, it looks like Álvarez can handle the heat.
He went on Instagram today to show off the rather impressive amount of sweat wrung out of my sauna suit.
Sauna suits are designed to enhance workouts and reduce water weight. Canelo is coming down after his last bout, in which he weighed 174lbs, to face ‘Triple G’ with 168lbs. Even so, he’s comfortably super average and should have no trouble getting there.
On the night of the fight, he would step into the ring to try and take out the unified middleweight champion, Golovkin. That is a big question.
Even though ‘GGG’ is at the end of his career having fought in middleweight, he will be confident, fueled by the fact that he hasn’t touched the canvas in 44 games. A win here will soften some bad feelings he has around the results of the first two matches.
Canelo also boasts an impressive chin, with his only losses coming from decisions. The Mexican boxer, who has been considered by some to be an all-time great, will be desperate to return to victory after a brave but unsuccessful bout. try to achieve a light heavyweight title. On top of that, he’s really not a fan of Golovkin.
The battle that marked the end of the a fierce and controversial competition. The undisputed card means a lot, but there’s a lot more at stake on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
