Canelo says if Bivol loses to Zurdo, there will be no reunion with him

Via Sean Jones: Canelo Alvarez says Dmitry Bivol will not have a rematch with him if he loses the championship November 5 to Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez in the UAE.
Surprisingly, Canelo (57-2-2, 39 KOs) is taking a stance that he won’t like the rematch and needs to avenge his loss if Bivol loses to Ramirez.
That would make Canelo look weak to many boxing fans, as it doesn’t matter who Bivol loses to anyone else.
Canelo should still want to avenge his loss because that won’t go away if Bivol (21-0, 10 KOs) loses to Ramirez (44-0, 30 KOs) in the cruiser class in November.
As for Canelo’s fight with Zurdo Ramirez, if he won, it wouldn’t happen because Alvarez didn’t want to fight another Mexican boxer.
The comment from Canelo that he won’t fight another Mexican shows that he will not face David BenavidezHis 168-lb WBC is also required.
It’s convenient for Canelo to say that he won’t fight other Mexican boxers because it saves him from a heavy loss to Benavidez.
“I think Zurdo Ramirez has a lot of chances to win. I want him to win, of course,” Canelo Alvarez told Fighthype about Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez’s November 5 fight against Dmitry Bivol.
“If he loses, no,” Canelo said when asked if he was still interested in a rematch with Bivol. “No, I don’t want to fight a Mexican.
“I’m 100% Mexican,” Canelo said when asked if he would play against Zurdo Ramirez if he beat Bivol. “If Bivol wins, I will fight Bivol.
“He [Zurdo] know how to fight. He is a tough fighter. He’s tall. I think he has a lot of opportunities,” Canelo said of Ramirez.
So that’s it. Canelo managed to get out of the fight with Bivol again, and it’s no surprise to this writer that I didn’t see him in that rematch.
What Canelo doesn’t say is that the slow-paced Gilberto Ramirez has little chance of defeating Bivol because of his lack of mobility and lack of boxing skills.
During the height of Ramirez’s career, when he fought at the age of 168, he lived and died with Jesse Hart twice, barely beating him. Hart won’t stand a chance against Bivol, as he is not equipped with the skills to deal with the talented Russian boxer.
