Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennadiy Golovkin 3 = “Brutal War”

Via Jack Tiernan: Eddie Hearn expects a “Brutal War” for the trio match between Gennadiy Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez on September 17.

Hearn believes Canelo (57-2-2, 39 KOs) is feeling bitter because of his recent bout against WBA lightweight champion Dmitry Bivol.

Bivol’s performance (20-0, 11 KOs) was so utterly decisive that it was sad to watch. Canelo is so poor in his depth of skill that it’s unsettling.

Bivol exposed many of Canelo’s fundamental flaws in the game; His trainers were supposed to teach him things but didn’t.

Hearn believes Canelo will be very pleased with that defeat and that he will want to live up to the standards fans are used to seeing from him. He will vent his frustrations with Golovkin and advance to the knockout stages to show everyone that he is still a top talent.

“Gennadiy Golovkin sometimes gets a little bit of a criticism from his fight with Murata, but he went overboard and brutalized him,” said Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn. Boxing DAZN.

Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) is understandably unhappy with the way the judges have graded his first two matches against Canelo and he will want to get his hands on a pound of his meat on Sunday. September 17.

“I think Canelo Alvarez, even though he will fail and the dislike he has for Gennadiy Golovkin and vice versa, I think these people will accept that,” Hearn said.

Canelo & Golovkin announced their third fight on Tuesday, choosing to meet in the main event on DAZN PPV four months from now in a fight that could prove who is the better boxer of the two.

Most boxing fans believe that Canelo-Golovkin was beaten 1-1 after two rounds, with Golovkin winning the first match 8-4 and Canelo winning the second match 7-5. .

The third match, provided with odd scores, will ultimately prove who is the better boxer between them.

Hearn thinks that Golovkin might have more mana moving up to 168 since he won’t have to drain down to 160 like he is doing. In Golovkin’s last four games, he looked tired from the weights and seemed slower than before.

“I think the move to 168 will help Golovkin,” says Hearn. “I think he looks a bit skinny in Japan, and I think 168 will help him. It’s going to be a brutal war, and it’s not going anywhere 12.”

Golovkin appeared tired during the brainstorming match and in the match against Ryota Murata on 9 April.

Although GGG eventually stopped Murata in the ninth round, he played the worst of the first four innings, and he looked like he was on his way to his second loss.

A large Golovkin right hand injured Murata in the sixth round, and from then on, he controlled the rest of the match.
