A total of seven candidates have been nominated for the upcoming 2023 FTHA Elections, which will be held on March 15, 2023. Nominations were submitted during the FTHA Annual General Nomination Meeting. and Gulfstream Awards Dinner on January 7.
The seven candidates are:
OWNERS
- Gerardo Amado
- tom cannell
- David Geofroy
- Jeffrey Siskin
LECTURERS
- Patrick Biacone
- Jorge Delgado
- David Fawkes
THA Florida is overseen and managed by a Board of 11 to 15 Directors. Six seats for Owner/Director and six seats for Coach/Director. The three Directors can be owners or trainers. An individual licensed as an owner may run for only one seat on the Board of Directors as an owner; An individual licensed as a trainer or as an owner and trainer may only run for a position on the Board of Directors as a trainer.
The Board of Directors is divided into three groups of five Directors, known as Groups 1, 2 and 3. Elections are held annually and the term of office of all Directors is three years.
Voting for the 2023 FTHA Election will begin in February. Each member of the FTHA currently licensed as an owner and/or trainer and in good standing has the right to cast one vote in the general election.
