Cancer Symptoms: Look out for THIS mark in your legs, which could be a sign of cancer
Deep vein thrombosis occurs when a blood clot, also known as a thrombus, forms in one or more veins deep in the body, especially the legs.
Symptoms include:
– Swelling and pain in one leg, rarely both
– Red, warm skin around the affected area
– The veins are swollen, hard and painful to the touch
In some more severe cases, part of the clot can break off and travel to the lungs, causing chest pain and difficulty breathing. This is also known as a pulmonary embolism or PE.
