Can Ben Simmons make his Nets debut in Game 3?

Protect the Brooklyn Nets Ben Simmons could make his season debut in the later stages of Nets ‘match series with Celtics, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

After running and shooting painlessly for over a week, Simmons will now battle his teammates in practice matches. His workouts are limited to 1-on-1 situations.

The possibility of Simmons going to court would add to the appeal of what will likely be the most watched first series. ESPN and The Athletic report on Friday that Simmons is aiming to return somewhere in the Game 4 to Game 6 range of the series. Match 4 is scheduled for April 25, with the remaining matches (if needed) to be played on the following nights.

Based on Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, there is “growing optimism” that Simmons could fit in as early as Game 3, which will take place next Saturday, April 23 when the Nets head back to Brooklyn.

However, Kevin Durant said on Thursday that he “didn’t expect” Simmons to play in the film. Simmons is back from a back injury, which has delayed his Nets debut.
