Call Of Duty Warzone 2 and MW2 will soon add a very popular basketball player



Activision has teased that one basketball player will be coming to the Call of Duty series as the new playable Operator, and fans believe they know who it is: Kevin Durant.

The demo video includes the Easy Money Sniper handle, which is Durant’s handle on Instagram. In addition, the Call of Duty Facebook page uploaded a placeholder video with filename KD_Teaserso we’re pretty sure that’s the star of the Phoenix Suns.

We’ll definitely know soon, as Activision says this new Operator will be coming to Modern Warfare II, Warzone 2, and COD Mobile in May.

Durant, or whoever it turns out, won’t be the first famous professional athlete to appear as a Moderator in Call of Duty. To celebrate last year’s World Cup, Activision added Messi, Paul Pogba and Neymar join the series as playable characters for a limited time.

Durant is a longtime video game player and Call of Duty fan in particular. He told David Letterman in 2022 that he I want to start my own COD e-sports team one day.

Activision Blizzard’s recent earnings announcement shows that Call of Duty game sales continued to grow in the latest quarter. Activision also confirmed that it will launching a new “premium” Call of Duty game this yearbut the title is yet to be published.

Recently, Activision Blizzard shareholders were faced with some bad news when the UK announced it would not allow Microsoft’s acquisition of the company to go through. Microsoft and Activision Blizzard plan to appeal. For more, check out GameSpot’s analysis of what happens next.
