Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Composer Quits Because The Soundtrack Wasn’t Her “Artistic Intent”

The creator behind Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Her soundtrack left the job, citing artistic differences with the military shooter’s sound director. In statement posted on her Twitter account, Sarah Schachner expressing regret that producer Mike Dean’s work on the soundtrack will not be heard by players. Dean collaborated with Schachner on scores for the previous Modern Warfare game.
Schachner began working on the Call Of Duty series as a choreographer and songwriter for Modern Warfare 3 in 2011, before scoring for Infinite Warfare in 2016. “Over the past few months, the activity has been working with the director. Sound director is becoming increasingly difficult and I do not Schachner said. “While I do not have any control over the presentation of the music in the game, what will be released on the soundtrack is not my artistic intent regarding mixing and mastering. .”
The composer credited Dean as “part of the creative vision for the album” along with arranger Frank Wolf. “We have masters of the soundtrack from Mike that you will unfortunately never hear,” she said. Schachner acknowledges the rest of Modern Warfare 2’s sound team and says she feels a responsibility to “maintain authenticity” in her work on the game’s soundtrack.
