Caleb Plant & Anthony Dirrell face off in gay event of top boxing champions
Wilder – Helenius press conference also featured former IBF Super Middleweight champion Caleb “Sweethands” Plant and two-time WBC Super Middleweight champion Anthony “The Dog” Dirrell meeting face-to-face as the 168-pound opponents prepare for a WBC Super Middleweight title elimination in the co-main event.

“Dirrell has a lot to say about me and say I hate him, and that’s a strong word, but it’s true. I guess it annoys him and it annoys me. I don’t hold hands with people in my department. He doesn’t even know me. October 15th will definitely have fireworks.
“When I beat him, it will be because I am better than him. But he already knows that and that’s why he hates me.
“You saw what Uzcategui did to his brother and what I did to him. I always knew he was a possibility. He couldn’t even hold his title long enough for us to unify and now he’s going mad.
“I try to approach every war the same and treat every war the same. I am at all. I am focused and motivated. I have a great team and together we are making a great plan. I just can’t wait until October 15th.
“I’m looking to give a great performance and raise my hand. I’m here to make a big statement. I want to delete the remainder of the split.
“I’m in the fortunate position of having my title removed, but that doesn’t affect how focused and disciplined I am. It doesn’t matter if it is a four round fight. I’m training hard and I’ve got a lot of motivation.
“I am doing my job and staying focused. I always keep boxing first in my life whether I have a fight coming up or not. I still feel like I’m hunting. There are a lot of things that I want to accomplish in this sport, but the first thing to do is deal with the business on October 15.”

“I’m ready to fight and beat some ass. He is running. He’s running away from me. Can you name someone who likes him? No one likes him. Canelo Alvarez hit you, remember that. I would never let another man hit me.
“He got into a fight with the tomato can and the taxi driver. I give him the respect I have for Jose Uzcategui. But he was supposed to fight me against Canelo and he backed out of that.
“I fought the best, who did he fight? He doesn’t fight anyone. He knows that. Forget my experience, I’m beating him.
“This is just another war. I’m preparing like any other war. When it’s down on October 15th, he’ll see.
“I just want to be myself and put on a great performance. Everyone knows I’m the dog and that’s what I’ll show again.
“I always do what needs to be done outside the ring. I kept my body where it needed to be. If you take care of your body, your body will take care of you.”
