Cadillac will offer two new features to select Super Cruise drivers this summer

Superyacht of GM Will learn two new tricks this summer. GM announced Tuesday that the driver assistance system will offer Automatic Lane Change and Leave the Road capability to eligible owners.

The company estimates that around 12,000 CT4, 5s and Escalades will be eligible for the paid updates. “Eligible customers will receive notifications from Cadillac about pricing and how they can purchase and install these new upgrades in the near future,” a GM spokesperson told Engadget via email.

Super Cruise, can be found on many GM products including new ones Hummer EV is a Level 2 system, where it is a driver assistance system and is not fully autonomous. It relies on a combination of LiDAR mapping, GPS, visual cameras and radar sensors to navigate traffic. Original GM announced these new features in 2020however the COVID pandemic and the global processor shortage hindered their implementation.
