BYD delivered the first batch of 340 Atto 3 SUVs in January 2023 in India.
BYD (Build Your Dreams) has started providing Atto 3 Electric SUV. The Chinese manufacturer said it delivered its first batch of 340 EV SUVs in India in January 2023. During the same period, BYD sold 23,231 Atto 3s globally.

Furthermore, BYD India announced that the Atto 3 has received over 2,000 pre-orders since its launch in November 2022. Only 1,200 Atto 3 SUVs will reach customers.
BYD Atto 3: powertrain and performance
Mounted on the front axle, the permanent magnet synchronous electric motor produces 201 hp and 310 Nm. This allowed the Atto 3 to run 0-100kph in 7.3 seconds (claimed). It packs a 60.48kWh Blade battery that has an ARAI-certified 521km range and also has regenerative braking.
The Atto 3’s battery pack can be charged in about 10 hours with a 7kW class 2 AC charger and in about 50 minutes (0-80 percent) with an 80kW DC fast charger. In addition, BYD has also added a Truck (VTL) function with 3.3 kW output that allows the Atto 3 to power external devices.
BYD Atto 3: price and competition
The Atto 3 EV SUV can be pre-ordered for Rs 50,000 and costs Rs 33.99 lakh. BYD also introduce The limited edition Forest Green color costs more than Rs 50,000. Atto 3 is the rival of MG ZS EV (Rs 22.98 lakh-27 lakh) and Hyundai Kona Electric (Rs 23.84 lakh) as well as Nexon EV Max (16.49 Rs lakh-18.99 lakh), although they are not similarly priced.
