A bushwalker discovered the human skeleton while hiking along the outskirts of Darwin.
Northern Territory Police have set up a crime scene near Lee Point Beach, about 20 kilometers north of the CBD.
The remains were discovered Wednesday and a large number of bones, including a skull, were found.

“The scene was handled with care with the use of medical professionals, including a forensic pathologist,” Detective Acting Executive Director Karl Day said on Friday.
‘Further analyzes will be carried out by forensic experts and until then we are unable to expand further.’
