Buccaneers sign Pro Bowl WR Julio Jones seven times

Seven-time Pro Bowl recipient Julio Jones will catch passes from Tom Brady next season on a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Jones, 33, spent the first decade of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, where he hit 12,896 yards and 60 touchdowns in 10 seasons. In June 2021, he was traded to the Tennessee Titans for a second-round pick in 2022 and swapped third-day picks in 2023.

In his only season with Tennessee, Jones was dealing with a hamstring injury and caught just 31 434-yard passes in 10 games. He recorded his only encounter of the year in the Titans regular season finale. Jones was released by the team in March.

Jones will now join the Falcons division, where he will be part of a wide-reception corps that includes four-time professional athlete Mike Evans and one-time pro player Chris Godwin.

Last season, the Buccaneers won the NFC South with a 13-4 record but lost in the playoffs to the Los Angeles Rams. Godwin was out of action in the playoffs due to a knee injury, and the Buccaneers parted ways with recipient Antonio Brown at the end of the season after a mid-game chaos.

Jones ranks 17th in NFL history for yards and needed 670 yards to become the 13th player to hit 14,000 yards in his career.
