Just a few days after joining the Buccaneers practice team, Cole Beasley has been promoted to the active list. The Buccaneers announced that they’ve raised the bar for many veterans to the game day roster. Rookie attack guard John Molchon was also promoted from the taxi team.

After making it through training camp, pre-season and the first few weeks of the season without signing a contract, Beasley finally landed on Tampa Bay’s training team on Tuesday. The 33-year-old is starting to show signs of age in his final season at Buffalo in 2021, with 693 yards and a touchdown being his lowest point of his tenure with the Bills.
However, he still hit the top of his career with 82 receptions. With a career capture rate of 71 percent, he will at least deliver brave cat with a solid pick this weekend against the Packers. Also, for what it’s worth, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler tweets that Beasley has joined the Buccaneers in great form and has established a connection with his QB.
Beasley’s presence will be essential tomorrow, as the team is eyeing a group of suspicious WRs for the second weekend in a row. We know for sure that Brady’s top two expansions are out on Sunday, with Mike Evans pausing a game and Chris Godwin Still sidelined with a hamstring injury. Julio Jones was a game-time decision with a knee injury and Russell Gage problem while dealing with hamstring problem. With such a depleted WR legion, Beasley can finally lead a depth chart that also includes Breshad Perriman, Scotty Miller, Jaelon Dardenand Kaylon Geiger.
Molchon was dropped from Boise State in 2020. He has spent most of his professional career with Tampa Bay’s practice team.
