As part of the Purebred Aftercare Alliance’s (TAA) month-long Gifting Campaign, Donna Brothers has pledged to match all donations up to $2,500 made to TAA. on December 9, 2022. Born with racing blood, Donna’s professional resume doesn’t stop at racing; she continues to shine on Purebred post-care.

In addition to her $2,500 match donation, Brothers is donating 100% of the proceeds from her book “Inside Track: Inside Guide to Horse Racing” to the Purebred Aftercare Alliance.
TAA’s holiday giveaway campaign started on November 29 and is expected to end on New Year’s Eve. About the Donna Brothers
Donna Barton Brothers was born with racing blood. In 1969, her mother, Patti Barton, was one of the first half-dozen women to be licensed as a jockey in the United States, and she went on to become the top female equestrian in the United States throughout the years. his career. As Donna’s brother and sister did before her, Donna also went on to become a jockey, retiring in 1998 as the second top female racer in the nation with her earnings. Okay.
In 1998, she switched to televised horse racing and in 2000 began covering horse racing for NBC Sports. In 2001, she published Inside Tracks: Inside Guide to Horse Racing in an effort to help people understand (and hopefully love) the sport she loves so much.
She is also passionate about Thoroughbred post-care and has been on TAA’s advisory board since its inception. Brothers is a former board member of the Backside Learning Center at Churchill Downs and currently serves on the boards of Thoroughbred Ideas Foundation and the advisory board of the Boy’s & Girl’s Haven Independent Readiness Program in Louisville, KY, and Jockey of the University of Kentucky Equestrian Initiative.
