She continued: ‘It was very special to be able to visit the ground where the Ball of the Century was played as well as Dad’s 600th Game.

‘Thank you Josh for taking us around and the lovely security staff who looked after us, we are so grateful! A very special day. ‘

In the photos, Brooke is seen with a lovely smile on her face as she looks over the cricket ground her father used to play.

It comes after Brooke was given a backstage ticket to hang out with Coldplay after witnessing them perform at London’s Wembley Stadium on Monday.

She was delighted to be invited backstage by Chris Martin, a friend of Shane.

Chris, 45, performed a haunting rendition of Coldplay’s Yellow at the cricketer’s memorial in March.

Shane died of natural causes while on vacation with friends on the Thai island of Koh Samui on March 4.

Last year, the long-legged cameraman revealed that Chris turned to him when he was having trouble writing music.

The pair have been close friends since meeting in a hotel elevator in 2001 and Chris even appeared in Shane, a documentary released in January about the life of the sports legend.
