Britney Spears fans have to hold on even longer to read her first memoir. The 40-year-old singer is said to have finished writing her retelling, which will reportedly include stories of her childhood, successful music career, and 13-year managerial role, but due to a lack of paper, its publisher, Simon & Schuster, is having trouble giving a set release date, TMZ reported. Sources told the outlet that a release date was originally scheduled for January 2023 but it looks like that might not happen because of a lack of paperwork.

The reported shortage came after more books were ordered during the COVID-19 quarantine over the past few years, resulting in less paper supplies. The lack of paper supply is clearly due to people quitting their production jobs at the paper mills, leading to a constant shortage of labor. It is not yet known when the paper shortage will be resolved, TMZ further report.
