Stuttgart, December 8, 2021 Holger Blecker, CEO of fashion and lifestyle company Breuninger, has been elected as the new president of the International Association of Department Stores, IADS. This international association promotes the thriving and forward-looking retail sector and is the oldest association of department stores worldwide, founded in 1928.
Breuninger becomes president of IADS
The 62nd General Assembly of the IADS elected Breuninger CEO Holger Blecker as its new president on October 28, 2021 in Paris. The 51-year-old retail professional will represent the international association for an initial period of one year. Breuninger has been a member of the IADS since 1987 and previously served as president of the IADS in 1991 with Willem G. van Agtmael. Holger Blecker is currently succeeding Juan Carlos Escribeano, CEO of Palacio de Hierro SAB de Group (Mexico).
