Amidst various criticisms of his alleged involvement in a scandal welfare fraud in Mississippi, Brett Favre is dealing with a couple of defamation cases.
He specifically targeted sports commentators Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee—as well as State Auditor Shad White, whose office brought the allegations.
Shannon Sharpe Called Brett ‘Sorry Mofo Stolen From The Lowest Of The Lowest’
Brett is said to have filed the lawsuit on Thursday, nearly five months after news of the alleged scandal broke, for Shade room previous report.
In Sharpe’s defamation lawsuit, Favre focuses on some of the comments he shared on Ignore and Shannon: Undisputedbased on GAME.
Specifically, amid accusations that Brett is the “Queen of Welfare,” Shannon said the NFL Hall of Fame quarterback was an “apologetic ploy to steal from the bottom of the low.” He’s also outspoken that Brett “steals money from people who really need it,” adding that he’s a “slut”.
“You must be a pity to steal from the lowest of the lowest… Brett Favre is stealing from the underserved. You’ve made over $100 million in the NFL!”

The lawsuit against Pat McAfee cites similar claims made on The Pat McAfee Program, when Brett was criticized for “stealing from the poor in Mississippi.” McAfee also said Favre “tied the hands of the poor and took the money right out of their pockets.”

Brett Favre says ‘shameless’ State Auditor embroiled him for influence
In the case against Shad White, the lawsuit criticizes him for “shamelessly and wrongfully attacking Favre’s good reputation” for the sake of gaining political influence.
“White has made extremely false and defamatory statements accusing Favre of ‘stealing taxpayer money’ and knowingly abusing money ‘designed to serve the poor.”
However, Fletcher Freeman—a spokesman for the Mississippi State Auditor’s Office—refuted the charges against White.
“Everything Auditor White has said about this case is true and supported by years of audits by experts at the Office of the State Auditor.”
