Having become a household name thanks to his starring role in the fake Tarzan George Of The Jungle, Fraser became a screen icon after playing Richard ‘Rich’ O’Connell in The Mummy series.

The actor is currently enjoying a career renaissance after stepping away from the limelight, with Batgirl following a prominent role in director Martin Scorsese’s new film Killers of the Flower Moon.

Batgirl will follow Barbara, the daughter of Gotham Police Commissioner James Gordon, played by JK Simmons – who reprized the role he first brought to life in the 2017 film Justice League.

Actress Leslie Grace will take on the lead role, while Michael Keaton is expected to return as Batman about 30 years after his last appearance as the Caped Crusader.

Keaton played the first Dark Knight on the big screen in 1989 in Batman, a role he reprized in 1992 that defeated Batman Returns.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, whose previous credits include Bad Boys For Life, are directing the film from a screenplay by Christina Hodson.

While there’s no official release date yet, Batgirl is expected to debut on the new streaming service HBO Max and ahead of its release in theaters.
