Brazilian coach tapped for PH beach volleyball teams
MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) has added a new coach to direct the spearheads of the country’s beach volleyball program.
PNVF President Ramon “Tots” Suzara confirmed they have received the commitment of Brazilian coach Joao Luciano Kiodai to coach the Philippines beach volleyball team.
“The arrival of Coach Joao is a big boost to the national beach volleyball in the same way that Coach Jorge is to volleyball teams,” said Suzara.
Kiodai got right to work after arriving in the country on Tuesday, preparing the national team for the future World Professional Beach Volleyball Tournament at Subic Bay San Court from 8-11. December.
The new mentor has a lot of experience, having coached the national teams of Iran and Azerbaijan.
His first test will be to coach the national team against Singapore in a friendly on Monday.
