In the third round, Alvarez took Ryder’s nosebleed. In the fifth inning, Alvarez made a combination and shoved Ryder into the net as Referee Mike Griffin counted eight. From Friday to ninth, it’s all Alvarez’s.
In the tenth round, Ryder came back well enough to qualify for the round. In the eleventh and twelfth rounds, Ryder fought enough to make it to the end.
The scores are 120-107 and 118-109, respectively.
WBC World Fly Champion Julio Cesar “El Rey” Martinez, 20-2 (15), #112, of Mexico City, MEX, blocked Ronal Batista, 15-3 (9), #112, of Panama City , PAN, with a score of 1:00 in the eleventh round of 12 scheduled rounds.
In the first round, Martinez made a headbutt on the right that made Batista stagger. Batista makes a left hook to the bell. In the second half, Martinez made a good left hook but Batista finished with his right hand. Batista continues to go to the body. Both are punches that land after the bell. In the third round, Martinez continued to have stabs and a few powerful punches. Batista is also throwing a lot of punches.
In the fourth inning, Martinez hit a hard header that sent Batista back but he bounced right back. Batista was deducted one point by referee Celestino Ruiz for hitting back after the bell. In the eleventh round, Martinez trapped Batista with a rope while the latter did not fight back forcing the referee to intervene and stop the game.
Super Welter Gabriel Gollaz, 27-3-1 (16), #139, of Guadalajara, Jalisco, MEX, won a questionable division decision against WBA Inter-Continental Super Light champion Steve “The Viking” Spark, 16-3 (14), #140, by Toowoomba, Queensland, AUST, 10 laps.
In the third round, Spark landed three left hooks before landing a right hook that sent Gollaz staggering backwards. Spark ended the round with a few more left hooks. In the sixth inning, Gollaz landed messily, knocking Spark’s knee into the canvas with a score of 8. At the end of the second half again, a pounding attack from Gollaz sent Spark reeling. In the first five innings, Gvozdyk started slow and picked few picks. In the sixth inning, after a slow start, Gvozdyk ran past Boltniks, delivering a slash to his left eyebrow prompting referee Celestino Ruiz to wave.
WBC Fecarbox Feather Champion Nathan Devon Rodriguez, 11-0 (7), #126, of Pico Rivera, CA, won the majority decision against Alexander “Popeye” Mejia, 19-6 (8), #126, of Managua, NIC, over 10 rounds.
