Boxing results: Richardson Hitchins overtakes Yomar Alamo

Via Vince D’Writer: Ultralight contender Richardson Hitchins made an impressive debut with new ad agency Matchroom, as he was able to take control of his match right away and land an eight-round TKO victory over Yomar Alamo (20-2). -1, 12 KOs) on Saturday night from the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

A product of Brooklyn, New York, Richardson Hitchins represented his parents’ hometown of Haiti in the 2016 Olympics, and five months later he signed with Mayweather Promotions. The invincible candidate didn’t feel Mayweather Promotions kept him as active as he wanted, so he made the decision to switch advertising agencies in September 2022.

Eddie Hearn immediately made this new acquisition a co-feature of the Montana Love vs Steve Spark DAZN boxing card. In the opening round of the November 12 co-star, Hitchins was sharp, as he controlled the round using a powerful jab.

In the second and third innings of the match, Hitchins had complete control over range and distance. He continued to operate behind the javelin and he began to land some effective combinations. Alamo found it very difficult to make any significant attacks due to the fact that Hitchins was controlling the tempo and scope of the fight.

Between innings, Alamo’s corner kickers did their best to cheer him up and keep him going, as they repeatedly told Alamo to let him go. Unfortunately, Alamo didn’t listen to his corner round after round, acting like a lost and confused boxer.

While Alamo had trouble figuring out how to throw multiple punches, Richardson Hitchins continued to look like a ring technician when using a high-precision strike. While Hitchins continued to throw and land any shot he wanted, Yomar Alamo began to look like a psychologically tested defeated warrior.

By the time the fight reached the eighth round, the Hitchins were dominating the match and beating the match. He won every round with ease, and by the end of the 1/8 round, Alamo’s corner frustration had reached boiling point. The Alamo were very upset with what they felt was a lack of effort on their part, and as a result they decided to end the competition.

Richardson Hitchins (15-0.7 KOs) was awarded a TKO win as he made his successful debut with his new advertising agency. Due to his public feud with the main event participant, and Cleveland native Montana Love, the announcement of the Hitchins victory was echoed by a chorus of boos.

In his post-fight interview, Hitchins graded his performance and then he received another round of boos from the Cleveland crowd when he boldly announced his plans for his boxing future.

“I said I wanted the next Montana Love. You keep asking me that, it’s time to ask Montana if he wants to fight me. I said take it. I came here to Matchroom, told him to sign the contract and let’s do it. ”
