Bournemouth have sacked manager Scott Parker after just four games of the Premier League season.
Parker left Fulham and led Bournemouth 14 months ago, guiding them to Premier League promotion after his former club last season.
Bournemouth were beaten 9-0 by Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, with Parker making no secret of his disappointment following the result.
Bournemouth co-owner Maxim Demin said in a statement: “I would like to document my gratitude to Scott and his team for their efforts throughout their time with us. we promoted back to the Premier League last season under his tenure will always be remembered as one of the most successful seasons in our history.
“However, for us to continue to grow as a team and as a club in general, it is unconditional that we must align with our strategy to run the club sustainably. We must also show trust and respect for each other. It is an approach that has given this club so much success in recent history and one that we will not change. from now on. Our search for a new head coach will begin immediately.”
Gary O’Neil is in charge of the team temporarily and will be assisted by Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick.
