Bobby Shmurda accuses rappers of being ‘informers’

In the face of some high-profile legal issues in the hip hop community, Bobby Shmurda stated that he wanted to distance himself from the label “rapper”.

He said that rappers have big goals behind them

His commentary came in a Live on Instagram on Christmas Eve, and it started with him saying straight up, “I don’t want to be called a rapper anymore.”

Bobby further explained, adding that rapping just puts people in difficult situations. Notably, he also took Tory Lanez as an example, as he stated that “what they just did” to the rapper “was so upsetting”.

“It’s like when you do that with rapper s**t, n*** trying to find that light. It’s annoying, like these labels are annoying. Look what they just did to Tory. That’s annoying, my n***a. That was annoying.

He then appeared to lash out at fellow artists who had supported Tory found guilty of all charges during the Megan Thee Stallion assault trial, like Shade room previous report. Specifically, Shmurda said these rappers are “playing makeup” and not really talking about the “lifestyle” they show in their songs.

“Then the whole rap community is supporting these n *** as things, you all n *** as are disgusting, my n *** a. Because of these people [are] say that they live our way of life, that they come from our way of life. These fuckers are playing masquerade right now. These n *** like playing dress up from left to right. I didn’t even get out of bed today. That makes me uncomfortable.”

In addition to Tory, Bobby then goes on to mention Young Thug and Casanova — two rappers who have been charged by RICO — to make a point about how authorities are “trying to lock up every king’s corpse.”

“Tory, Young Thug, [Casanova], you all try to lock up every dead body of the king, man. I don’t want to be a rapper, man. I don’t even want to be a rapper. This isn’t even funny, this is crazy, man.

Bobby Shmurda Says ‘Rats’ in the Industry Must Own Their Ish

He then redirects and attacks other rappers, saying that — based on recent developments — he believes many of them are actually “rats” and “providers.” information”.

Although he didn’t specifically name anyone, the timing of his comment—along with his calling “hot girl”[s]” — suggesting that it may be related to Megan.

We should also note that Gunna was hit with surreptitious accusations after he accepted a plea deal.

“I don’t want to hear any rapper talking crazy about a non-barbarian, hot girl/hot boy lifestyle. Y’all n *** as the mouse. You are all informants… You will make informational music.”

He then urges the “rats” in the industry to “make snitch music” to try to be more honest with listeners, showing that he’s overcome the perceived disconnect between his music artists and their true values. Bobby even compares rappers to actors in the sense that it’s all about showing off personality for fun.

“You don’t have to make snitch music. Like, tell us what you’re up to. Don’t lie to people…It’s an industry. It’s like acting – it’s like playing in make-up.”
