Which part of it makes you feel the strangest? Did something strange happen in your life and had to make a statement about it on Instagram?
It’s strange that if I say anything I get attention from the press. And sometimes I don’t think about it. So when I decided to post an Instagram Story two weeks ago and say, “I’ve never slept with someone I interviewed,” I didn’t expect to wake up and receive an email from my PR team. me with the following content: “Here is all the news and press you get from this. Or when I got divorced and paparazzi came to my house, I was like: “Ah. How do they know where I live? B. Why did they need to take pictures of me walking without my wedding ring?”
That’s kind of crazy. Are you in a good place with all that personal stuff?
A lot of people still give me a really hard time because I’m no longer with my children’s father. I was 22 years old when I got married.

And I’m divorced. I was going to offer to tell you about my divorce if it would help you talk about yours. Because I married an abolitionist vegetarian in college. Special. And I also became a vegetarian and then was seeing a doctor. I’m a vegetarian because I’m hungry.

I went to the doctor and he said, “You have to start eating dairy. Katie, you have to start eating some kind of animal product. You have to gain weight.” So I started eating yogurt, and I called my husband because we were living in different cities at the time and I said, “There are two things I need to tell you. One is that I started smoking.” And he said, “It’s funny. I never pictured you as a smoker.” And I said, “And the other thing is I started eating yogurt.” And he said, “I’m done.”

It’s easy to look into the future and be like you got married and you’ll be married forever. We had a baby right away. I got pregnant 10 months after meeting him, maybe 11 months. And then on the one year mark, we will get married. We got married at the courthouse.
When I was a child, I saw my parents treat each other badly. Bad. Really, really, really. The worst possible couple is together.
Are they still married?
Are not. And I remember the day my mother told us they were getting divorced as the best day of my life.
I read online that the best time to get a divorce and for it to have the least impact on your children is before they turn 3. When my daughter was 3, I remember it was just, if we’re going to do this, then it needs to be done. right now, because our children won’t know. Unlike my parents, but we don’t love each other.
And at that time you will definitely have financial independence.
Perfect timing helped me make a lot of money. Once I knew my career was going to take off, I was fine. And we had the conversation and it was a general conversation about, “This isn’t good anyway.”
Do you want to get married again?
I really want to get married and have all the things I never had. I want to meet someone, date them for a while, surprise them with an engagement ring, then get married and have a big wedding with lots of family and friends there. I want to be loved in a disgusting way one day.
