Bob Odenkirk’s Next TV Show After Better Call Saul teased, release date



After starring in AMC’s Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul, Bob Odenkirk is continuing to do business with the network for another show, Lucky Hank. AMC has now announced the show’s release date and published a teaser trailer that shows a glimpse of what to expect.

Lucky Hank, formerly known as Straight Man, will premiere on March 19. The eight-episode series follows the character of Odenkirk, a British department president named Hank, as he goes through a difficult life. midlife crisis at a “wretched college in the rust belt of Pennsylvania.”

“I’ve always been a tough guy. I specialize in minor conflicts and minor irritations. That’s my way,” says Odenkirk’s Hank in the introductory video. A goose enters the scene as the video ends and anyone who has read the book based on the series will know why. Check it out below.

The series is based on Richard Russo’s 1997 novel The Straight Man. The film also features Mireille Enos as Hank’s wife and Olivia Scott Welch as his daughter.

Aaron Zelman (Damages) and Paul Liberstein (The Office) are the hosts, while Odenkirk is the executive producer. Lucky Hank is Odenkirk’s first live-action TV show since Better Call Saul ended in 2022.

As for the broader Breaking Bad universe, no new TV shows or movies have been announced. However, the author of the series Vince Gilligan is working on a new show for Apple TV+ there’s Rhea Seehorn of Better Call Saul.
