BMW X6 50 Jahre M Edition SUV: price, design, features and performance



The X6 Special Edition is Rs 6.50 lakh more expensive than the standard version; updated cosmetics.

BMW car launched the new 50 Jahre M version of the X6 in India for Rs 1.11 crore (former showroom, India), as part of the ongoing M division 50th anniversary celebrations. So far, the brand has introduced eight special edition models – M340i, 630i ​​M Sport, 530i M Sport, Competition M4, X7 40i M Sport, X4 M Sport, Competition M8and Competition M5. BMW will soon introduce the last Jahre M Edition 50 in India.

BMW X6 50 Jahre M Edition: exterior highlights

Compared to the standard X6 SUV with many color options, the 50 Jahre M Edition is only available in Sapphire Metallic and M Carbon Black Metallic. BMW has fitted the X6 50 Jahre M Edition with an illuminated kidney grille in gloss black, 20-inch alloy wheels finished in orbital gray with glossy red M Sport brake calipers and an M exhaust system. Sport.

Like the previous special editions, the X6 50 Jahre M Edition also features an additional M badge (front, rear and on the center cap) inspired by early BMW Motorsport race cars. The BMW logo also features unique design elements, sporting a semicircle in blue, purple and red colors.

BMW also offers two optional exterior packages on the limited edition. The first is the Racer’s package that includes black side decals and a rear spoiler. The Motorsports package offers carbon fiber-finished wing mirrors and alcantara-finished key panels.

BMW X6 Jahre M Edition: interior, powertrain details

The interior layout of the special edition X6 remains largely the same as the standard car. The X6 50 Jahre M Edition features power-adjustable sports seats wrapped in leather with red stitching and a leather-wrapped steering wheel as standard. BMW has also equipped the X6 50 Jahre M Edition with cup holders with heating and cooling, wireless charging, ambient lighting and an automatic tailgate. Its other standout features include a 12.3-inch digital driving display and infotainment system, a Harman Kardon audio system, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Without any mechanical changes, the X6 50 Jahre Edition shares the same powertrain that powers the standard car in the xDrive40i guise. The 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 340 hp and 450 Nm while mated to an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This allows the X6 special edition to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.
