Block contestants shed tears and struggled during the week of activities and dining room

An emotional and exciting week is coming for The Block contestants as they begin work on their living and dining rooms.

But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for the Blockheads.

In the upcoming week’s preview, the teams are really put to the test as the show teases a ‘super big week’ of ‘big ideas’, ‘big boos’ and ‘big bangs’ ‘.

“The biggest room Block ever solved,” Omar says in the clip.

The trailer also shows off a few big ideas from the contestants, including Rachel and Ryan’s ‘wall-to-ceiling stone fireplace’ and Omar and Oz’s ‘mini piano’.

But of course, a big week always comes with big dramas.

In part of the clip, a uterus can be seen being dragged along the dirt road along with a trailer.

Then, the camera cuts to the heartbroken Sharon, who is in tears.

“It’s like impossible,” she cried, before the camera clearly showed an unimpressed Dan Foreman.

“Those are just excuses, all I’m hearing there,” he said bluntly.

It comes after controversial contestants Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra escalated their feud with host Scott Cam after he told them they needed to change their attitudes.

Sharon called Scott ‘a tough old man’ in an interview with TV Week last week, saying he made no attempt to apologize after their most recent outburst.

Despite the ongoing backlash, Sharon and Ankur are happy to represent Indian culture on reality TV.

Tensions have been running high in recent episodes, prompting Scott and co-host Shelley Craft to re-examine their workload and work ethic.

Shelley stepped in as a good cop, asking the Melbourne couple how they were feeling, before Scott offered cold and hard facts.

‘No one is keeping you here and you can go any time you want. This is not a must,’ he said.

Sharon and Ankur once again found themselves at the center of a ‘cheating’ scandal last week with their recent challenge win.

The pair won $13,000 in an antiques challenge on Wednesday’s episode when their makeup mirror earned $250.

But the other teams were not satisfied and accused them of receiving an ‘unfortunate victory’ because the mission required the teams to purchase an item suitable for the kitchen.

Rival contestant Tom told the producers: ‘I think it’s an all-out vote of sympathy.

“Sunday comes, they’ll have a nice mirror in their kitchen,” laughs Omar. ‘You can watch yourself cook!’

Meanwhile, Rachel has reached the breaking point and thinks Sharon and Ankur’s victory is unfair.

“This is not a level playing field,” she said. ‘Here [show] there seems to be a way to break your spirit. But I hope it’s all worth it. ‘

The Block continues this Tuesday through Thursday on Channel 9 after the show was changed due to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral
