Bigger-than-life sports could be more maneuverable for Tevin Farmer and Mickey Bey

Author Vince D’Writer: Former IBF featherweight super champion, Tevin Farmer (30-5-1, 6 KOs) and ex-lightweight Mickey Bey (23-3-1, 11 KOs), arrived in Dubai and we were going to face each other in May, but the fight was canceled due to the unfortunate death of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed. About two months later, advertising agency Bigger Than Life Sports rescheduled the contest for August 12 at the Toyota Findlay Center in Prescott, Arizona.

Weighing day should have been a normal day, but unfortunately, it turned into a 24-hour period filled with stress and anxiety. Both Farmer and Bey do their jobs with regards to weight gain, but Bigger Than Life Sports clearly hasn’t done their job in providing commissions to pay the boxers.

The next morning, Mickey’s brother Bey contacted the advertising agency to ask if they would transfer the money into the commission. A member of Bigger Than Life Sports responded by saying the money would be transferred to him within the next two hours. A few hours later, the brother of the ad agency FaceTimed Bey was standing in front of the bank, and he said he was still waiting for the transfer.

Hours passed and the committee was still waiting for Bigger Than Life Sports to send the money. On the night of the war, Tevin Farmer went to Mickey Bey’s room to talk about taking a pay cut to save the event. Bey and Farmer checked with the commission around 8 p.m. to receive an update on how much the promotion company had collected, and the commission informed the fighters that they received $0. and 0 cents.

The match between Farmer and Bey was canceled, but unfortunately, some boxers in the lower division accidentally fought for free. Both Farmer and Bey are embarrassed about how the event failed and they are also hurt when fans lose money they have spent on pay-per-view and ticket to the live event.

Bigger Than Life Sports allegedly blatantly lied to the commission. Recently, both Farmer and Bey were guests on DAZN . boxing show and Mickey Bey admitted he had heard rumors about suspicious behavior on part of the promoters before the fight, but he didn’t care about it because he assumed they would get paid.

“I’m hearing cats meow new cars, new condos, all that supposed to be. I’m like the withholding man, don’t tell me these cats just spend our hard earned money. I wouldn’t mind if they fulfilled their duty. The amount of money that I hear they raise is ridiculous, a few million at least,” said Bey. Mickey Bey went on to suggest that Bigger Than Life Sports should be included in an episode of the TV show American Greed.

Tevin Farmer and Mickey Bey won the “L” outside the ring, but both fighters are still poised to face each other inside the squared circle. In the final segment of the interview, both Farmer and Bey suggest Eddie Hearn should continue the fight. “Answer the phone, Eddie. Answer your phone, Eddie. Pick up the phone. I know you see me. It’s a matter of fact that I’ll reveal on one of them show you,” Farmer said.
