WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden announced another billion dollars in weapons for Ukraine on Wednesday, including anti-ship systems, artillery rockets and ammunition for artillery.

I reaffirmed my commitment that the United States will stand with Ukraine when it tells Ukraine to stand by it. defend its democracy and uphold its sovereignty and territorial integrity against Russia’s gratuitous aggression,” Biden wrote in a statement.

The aid package, delivered as Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin met with allies in NATO, is the 12th US security assistance to Ukraine since the start of the war.

Biden also announced $225 million in additional humanitarian assistance to Ukraine to address needs such as safe drinking water, critical medical supplies, food, and cash for families to shop for essential items. .
