Beyoncé Knowles Performing in Neon David Koma at the Oscars


Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s much-anticipated performance at Oscars 2022 turns out to be another shared fashion moment between the star and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Dressed in David Koma’s neon yellow sequins, Knowles set up a tennis-inspired palette for the remaining dancers behind her – one of them Blue – as she sang. Oscar nominated song “Be Alive” by “King Richard” at the Compton, CA tennis court, where Serena and Venus Williams started.

Knowles’ own look, a feather-trimmed gown with a see-through skirt and sleek gloves, is a hybrid of two different David Koma designs that recently hit the runway: one the same asymmetrical red dress from fall 2022, and beyond that, a similar chartreuse midi dress from spring 2022. Knowles and her stylist, Marni Senofonteshe sported a thigh-high slit dress to better show off her crystal outfit and metal shoes.

Knowles completed her look with a 150-carat white diamond bracelet, a 50-carat emerald-cut diamond ring and a 20-carat cushioned diamond ring, all by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. Her electric gem teardrop earrings only accentuated her brilliance.

To complement Knowles, Blue Ivy and her fellow dancers wore framed crop tops, evening dresses, chain necklaces, and silver beads in their hair.
