Another blockbuster year for video games, as AAA-exclusive and indie games have raised the bar. From gripping remakes to incredible original titles, the PlayStation library has grown this year with the addition of these titles, and we’ve rounded up the best titles by key numbers. Importantly collected from GameSpot’s sister site Metacritic.
The year 2022 has been bolstered by two of Sony’s most powerful console exclusives, Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok, while the mid-year months have also seen a major turnaround. for the release of older first-party games on PC. With Nixxes in the lead, PC players were able to get their hands on Spider-Man, God of War, and Uncharted games that were enhanced on that system.
Rounding out the list of new releases is also a robust selection of third-party games, covering a wide range of genres and themes. Some are insanely weird, others are iterative updates, and we’ve seen some great vintage collections launch this year.
