Bentley breaks sales and profit records in 2022


Bentley revealed half-year profits for 2022 and things are going in favor of Britons luxury car manufacturer. It revealed an operating profit of £333.97m, £7.56m higher than the entirety of last year, where Bentley posted a record £326.41m profit previously.

Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Bentley Motors, commented on the company’s financial position: “Despite continued global economic uncertainty, Bentley can be seen as showing financial consistency as we see it. I reinvented the company in line with our Beyond100 strategy and laid the groundwork to further withstand external shocks. “

Compared to this time last year, Bentley is up 124% in profit. Sales were the driving force behind this success with a 33% increase in Europe and a 44% increase in the UK. Globally, year-to-date sales are up 3% to 7,398 sales for 2022 so far, although sales in China are down 25%.

Sales per car increased from £156,000 to £178,000. Bentley says this is largely due to an increased level of personalization. “The dramatic increase in demand and capitalization for our Mulliner personalization program has driven record sales profits and continued global interest in the latest product line,” said Hallmark. in the luxury sector has resulted in record high sales,” Hallmark said.

The best-selling Bentley is still Bentayga SUV, with 40% of total sales. The Hot steam is flying accounted for 27% and Continental GT accounted for 33%.

Bentley says the new numbers will help support its strategy of becoming an all-electric brand. This investment includes a £2.5 million investment in the Pyms Lane plant in Crewe.
