Excited by the success of Bacalar convertible car of the year 2020With production of 12 cars almost completed, Bentley is now ready to show us its next project to order, the Batur.
Bentley will launch the Batur on August 20 in Monterey Car Week 2022and has provided a taste with a teaser shot revealing what appears to be part of the car’s grille.
The name comes from Bali’s Lake Batur (Bacalar is named after a lagoon in Mexico), and the basis for the car is believed to be Bentley’s Continental GT coupe. Power will likely come from the Continental GT’s flagship engine, the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W-12. Bentley plans to phase out the W-12 in the coming years, and the Batur will be a sort of commemorative engine, Autocar reported last December. The British Journal also reported that 25 Baturs were planned.
