Bengaluru Man Throws Cash From Flyover, Crowd Scrambles To Collect

The man is said to have fled the scene when a police team arrived.


A man has blocked vehicles on an overpass in Bengaluru after throwing money at people and crowds below at a busy market in the city.

Video taken by motorists on mobile phones shows the man in a jacket and trousers walking with a wall clock around his neck on an overpass and throwing a large amount of cash into the air. Several motorists were seen running up to him and demanding money.

A large crowd also gathered under the flyover at the KR market near the city’s town hall to collect cash.

The bills are in denominations of Rs 10. He is believed to have thrown Rs 3,000 banknotes, according to people present in the area at the time of the incident.

It’s unclear who the person was and why he threw the money away.

The man is said to have fled the scene when a police team arrived.

The police have begun an investigation by registering a case that creates a law and order problem.
