Bend gravity to your will in 2D horror platformer ‘Love Eternal’
Publisher Ysbryd Games has revealed Eternal lovea hyper-realistic 2D platformer in which you manipulate gravity to your will to overcome increasingly difficult challenges.
Developed by brlka, the game is currently scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch in 2025, so we have to wait a bit for this. However it should have been worth it; Judging from the trailer, it looks like it’s definitely delivering some of the precise, challenging platforming gameplay that’s popular in games like Celeste. That looks great.
We will monitor this in the coming months. We love a good challenge at Nintendo Life, and using gravity to overcome obstacles sounds delightfully complicated. In the meantime, let’s take a look at the game’s premise courtesy of Ysbryd Games:
Teenagers have a lot to deal with, but Maya has more things that make her angry than her peers. Between her family’s estrangement, her recent argument with her friend Lacey, and her recent kidnapping at the hands of an ancient god, Maya has a terrifying journey ahead. Travel through the god’s terrarium, control gravity through the puzzle-filled Castle, pursue and confront her captor, and escape this lonely fate.
Control gravity to Maya’s will, enhancing her agility to leap through challenging rooms in the Castle’s maze. Quickly jump over chasms, deadly spikes, burning lasers, etc. with precise springs and flips in a precision platforming experience. Be wary of the god’s watchful eye, lest reality change under your feet.
Navigate strange and atmospheric Iron Age landscapes, from ruined castle structures to deep sea caves to the dark reflection of the Maya’s own home, listening to ominous melodies afraid to echo through structures that have aged over time. Face strange encounters with Maya’s family, Lacey and other wandering prisoners to discover the god’s true motives.
Hopefully we’ll get some more news about the game’s release date soon.
