Beirut: The moment part of the port grain silos collapsed caught on camera
The moment part of a grain cellar in the port of Beirut collapsed was captured on camera, following recent fires and warnings from officials.
Buildings were badly damaged in the 2020 port blast, which killed more than 200 people – with the disaster’s two-year anniversary coming next week.
An official investigation into the explosion has been suspended twice – leaving families and survivors with no answers.
The recent fires – believed to have been caused by fermented grains – have been smoldering for weeks and officials have warned the cellars could be about to collapse.
