Beer may be good for men’s gut bacteria, new study suggests | World News

Alcohol can improve gut health in men, according to a new study.

According to the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry of the American Chemical Society, when consumed in moderation, it can improve the gut microbiome, which plays a role in digestion.

In the study, 19 men divided into two groups drank a 330ml bottle of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beer with dinner for four weeks.

At the end of the trial period, both groups had more bacterial diversity in their gut microbiomes and showed improvements in their gut health.

Professor Ana Faria of the University of Lisbon, one of the study’s authors, said: “One beer a day, with or without alcohol, could be used as a strategy to improve the microbiome. ours, as part of a balanced diet.

“But we need to be careful with the results so as not to convey the message that more is better.”

The men in the study were between the ages of 23 and 58 and they were randomly divided into two groups.

They were asked not to change their physical activity or eating habits.

At the end of the trial, stool samples showed that the men had more bacteria in their intestines.

Studies have shown that when there are more types of bacteria, people have a lower risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes.

Beer contains polyphenols and microorganisms that can affect a variety of microorganisms in the human gut.

A previous study found that when men and women drank non-alcoholic beer for 30 days, the diversity of their gut microbiota increased.
