Bears Reportedly Traded Former DPOY Khalil Mack To Charger
The wild week of NFL deals continues on Thursday.
Based on many reports, the Bears will receive a 2022 second pick and a 2023 sixth pick from the Charger in exchange for Mack. On Tuesday, the Denver Broncos landed future Hall of Fame quarterback Russell Wilson in a game blockbuster deal with the Seattle Seahawks and on Wednesday the Indianapolis Colts shipped out former Pro Bowl signal caller Carson Wentz for the Washington Commanders.
The deal is also the youngster’s second major move to Los Angeles, as they lock down popular star Mike Williams on a three-year, $60 million deal. on Tuesday.
Despite having one of the most electric fouls in the game last season, the Chargers run defense showed vulnerability throughout much of the campaign, an issue that Mack – 2016’s Player of the Year for 2016. Mack made six Pro Bowl lists in eight-year career between the Raiders and the Bears and was named an All-Pro first team in 2015, 2016 and 2018. The previous fifth overall pick recorded 467 tackles and 76.5 pitches across 117 games frequently in his career.
