It’s been a week since rebels launched their biggest attack against the Syrian government in years.
BBC Verify has been tracking the advance of rebels from the north-west of the country by analyzing and monitoring footage posted on social media.
It appears they have captured a large area of land – including most of the city of Aleppo. The Syrian government and its key ally Russia launched air strikes in response.
