Casino operator Bally’s Corporation (NYSE:THREE GLASSES) reportedly wanted to enter the New York City market with a casino in the Bronx.
“We’re extremely excited at the prospect of bringing Bally’s community-focused approach to the game and entertainment for The Bronx. At Bally’s, we start with the proposition that community leaders know what’s best for their community,” noted one Bally’s (THREE GLASSES) spokesman.
Source says New York Post Office the company has talk with the Trump Organization to secure the 17 acres needed for the proposed 300-acre site. Previously, the Trump Organization operated casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Despite stiff competition for a game license for the NYC market, Bally’s (THREE GLASSES) was the first to recommend a place in the Bronx.
Bally Corporation (THREE GLASSES) updated instruct on Monday and announced a change of CEO. The company is expected to report earnings on February 23 and hold a conference call that includes more details on its NYC casino pursuit.
