Baffert banned from NY until ‘at least’ early July

Citing Section 910 of the Pari-Mutuel Racing, Payroll and Feeding Law, the New York State Game Commission (NYSGC) has announced that it will honor the 90-day suspension for coach Bob Baffert and the This event “is prohibited from participating in any New York State horse racing until at least July 2, 2022.”

Section 910 says: “§ 910. There is reciprocity of the licenses. All license denials, suspensions, and revocations imposed by the racing and gambling regulatory authorities of other jurisdictions, including the states, territories of the United States and other jurisdictions. province of Canada shall be recognized and enforced by the commission…”

According to a release from the NYSGC, Baffert is suspended from New York and is not allowed to import any horses to run at any of the New York races, including the Aqueduct, Belmont Park and Saratoga – run by the New Racing Association. York operates – as does the Finger Lakes Track Racecourse.

New York is one of 38 states racing to honor out-of-state suspension orders issued by regulators.
