MANILA, Philippines — Kyoto Hannaryz overcame Sendai, 66-65, in the 2022-23 B.League season on Sunday at the Kyoto Municipal Gymnasium, redeeming himself after a meek loss to the 89ers.
Yoshiaki Kubota leads Kyoto in terms of attack with 16 points at 60% shot. Matthew Wright’s disaster continued to happen with only five points along with many changes of direction in 15 minutes of play.
Wright, a former Phoenix Fuel Masters standout player in the PBA, failed to score in Kyoto’s 65-92 defeat to Sendai on Saturday, where he missed all six attempts off the field.
At Hamamatsu Arena, the heroes of Thirdy Ravena weren’t enough to lift San-En past Kawasaki, 88-84.
Ravena scored 18 points on a 64% effective clip with eight rebounds and six assists. Yante Maten overtook Neophoenix with 26 points and 17 rebounds.
Nick Fazekas assisted the Brave Thunders with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Yuma Fujii scored another 14 in Kawasaki’s win.
The Shiga Lakes were also in a losing streak, falling to Gunma Crane Thunders, 92-71, at the Ota City Sports Park Arena.
Kiefer Ravena was also the one to make the most of his 23 minutes with 11 points and six assists. Kelvin Martin is Shiga’s top scorer with 19 goals.
Kaleb Tarczewski and Michael Parker combined for 32 points with 19 and 13 for Gunma respectively.
Akita passes Levanga, 97-74, at Hokkai Kita-yale.
Stanton Kidd and Shigehiro Taguchi provided Northern Happinets with 18 people each.
Brock Motum led Hokkaido with 18 points while Dwight Ramos finished with 8 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals.
At Okinawa Arena, Ryukyu defeated Utsonomiya Brex for the second night in a row, 85-70.
Jack Cooley’s double brought power to the Golden Kings with 17 markers and 10 placards. Ryuichi Kishimoto finished with 14 points while Jay Washington was not included in the game.
Josh Scott and Makoto Hiejima scored 12 points for Utsonomiya each.
Hiroshima lost to Yokohama at home at Sun Plaza Hall, 70-68.
Kerry Blackshear Jr.’s hot night of filming. boosted Dragonfly to the win with 25 points on an excellent 61.5% clip. Nick Mayo added 21 points to Hiroshima’s win. Justine Balthazar failed to score after just four minutes of play.
Charles Jackson performed perfectly on a loss of the ball, which ended with 22 shots on target (100%).
In the B2 division, Kumamoto scored an 84-81 victory over the away team Nagasaki, thereby getting an all-out effort from Jordan Heading. Heading collected 11 points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
