B.League: Kobe Paras helps Niigata snap 14-game losing streak

MANILA, Philippines – Kobe Paras agitated Niigata Albirex BB to a 14-flash win after beating Osaka Evessa, 73-66, in the Japanese B.League on Wednesday at the Ikeda City Satsukiyama Arena.

Paras took home 10 points, including two three-pointers with five rebounds and two assists as Niigata finally ended his slump and improved to a 6-44 record.

Yuto Nohmi was the lead, scoring five times three for 19 points, eight assists, four rebounds and two steals. Zen Endo took 16 points and nine pounds from the bench, while Jeff Ayres took 14 points, 24 pounds and four blocks.

Bobby Ray Parks Jr sat out a third game in a row but Nagoya overcame Kiefer Ravena and Shiga, 79-77, at Ukaruchan Arena.

Tatsuya Ito hit the winner of the game at the last minute and finished 10 points for the Diamond Dolphins to beat Ravena’s 19-point effort.

Yusuke Karino won with 16 points as Nagoya made it through to the playoffs increasing a record 33-14.

Ravena also made eight assists, four rebounds and four steals as the Lakestars took their fourth straight loss and slipped to a 14-41 card.

Sean O’Mara led Shiga with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Novar Gadson added 19 points, 10 pounds and six assists in another loss.

Meanwhile, Thirdy Ravena was also unlucky when San-En NeoPhoenix fell to Levanga Hokkaido, 97-89, at Hokkai Kitayell.

Younger Ravena had 12 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. Elias Harris lifted San-En with 28 points and eight rebounds, while Kazuma Tsuya added 19 points in their third consecutive loss, dropping to 10-46.

Javi Gomez de Liano brought in eight points, two rebounds and two assists but Ibaraki Robots gave way to SeaHorses Mikawa, 110-98, at the Adastria Mito Arena.

Daichi Taniguchi carries Ibaraki with 20 points including six encounters as they hit a 15-37 record before ending the season at home to the Gunma Crane Thunders this weekend.
