Azam Khan Of Team Akhilesh Found Guilty Of Hate Speech On Yogi Adityanath

Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was found guilty of hate speech following his comments against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2019. A court in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur will soon sentence him.
Azam Khan was charged with making provocative speeches against Yogi Adityanath and IAS officer Aunjaneya Kumar Singh, then a District judge.
A senior leader can lose his membership of parliament if, after being convicted, he is sentenced to two years or more in prison.
Azam Khan was released from prison earlier this year after the Supreme Court granted him temporary bail in an alleged fraud case.
He spent almost two years in prison.
The Samajwari leader faces nearly 90 cases, including corruption and theft.
