Awtaad’s Al Qareem All Heart in Paris
Via Sean Cronin
ParisLongchamp’s Mammoth Arc Weekend opened with G2 Qatar Prix Chaudenay, in the way of intern Karl Burke Al Qareem (Ire) (Awtaad {Ire} –Moqla {GB}, by Teofilo {Ire}) after a suspenseful finale to the 15-part competition. 3-year-old Gelding, who picked up handicaps in Nottingham and York earlier this term, was last seen finishing seventh in Goodwood’s G3 Gordon S. and going through with an 11-2 chance. Following the lead in second place until taking over at the straight entrance, he was swept away as he approached the quarter-mile mark and continued in a determined fashion while continuing to drive to refuse Awake (Fr) (Camelot {GB}) by the nostrils after a mess.
