Avatar: The Way of Water has now officially surpassed Top Gun: Maverick to become the No. 1 movie of 2022 worldwide. James Cameron’s new film has now grossed $1.516 billion worldwide, surpassing Maverick ($1.488 billion) to become the biggest release of 2022. The Way of Water has surpassed 1.5 billion dollars at the global box office after three weeks in theaters.
The Way of Water also surpassed 2015’s Furious 7 ($1.15 billion) to become the 10th highest-grossing film of all time based on global box office results. over the term, The Way of Water will surpass The Avengers (US$1.518 billion) next to continue climbing the rankings and reaching far. Number 9 all time.
Outside the US, The Way of Water is performing best in China with $168.6 million, followed by France ($96.1 million), South Korea ($78.2 million), Germany ($76.5 million) and the UK ($60.9 million).

Avatar 3 is coming next December 2024 and in a big change it will evil features Na’vi. Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 are planned, but unconfirmed. Even if they are made, Cameron may not direct them.
